Giordano Lombardo is Global CIO of Pioneer Investments. In this role he is responsible for the global investment function. He is also Chairman of Pioneer Investment Management S.G.R.p.A (Italy) and Pioneer Investment Management Limited (Ireland). In March 2010, he was appointed as the Vice Chairman of Assogestioni, the Italian Association of Fund Managers.
Giordano has more than 25 years of experience in the asset management industry, starting as a financial analyst and portfolio manager. He has been with the UniCredit Group for over 20 years. Prior to assuming his present position he was Deputy CEO of Pioneer Global Asset Management S.p.A.. In addition to his current role, Giordano holds various directorships within the Pioneer Investments group of companies.

Ken Taubes is Chief Investment Officer of Pioneer Investment Management, Inc., the U.S. investment division of Pioneer Investments. He is Portfolio Manager of the Core, Core Plus and Multi-Asset Real Return strategies for retail and institutional clients. He also oversees the equity and fixed income portfolio management and research analyst staff in the U.S. and is Chairman of the U.S. Investment Committee and a member of the U.S. Management Committee.
Prior to joining Pioneer Investments in 1998, Ken spent seven years with Putnam Investments in Boston, most recently as Senior Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager for over $15 billion in fixed income assets for more than 30 institutional accounts and 15 open-end mutual funds.
Ken Taubes also served as Senior Vice President and Corporate Treasurer of Home Owners Savings Bank in Boston, New England’s largest thrift holding company and one of the nation’s largest mortgage banks, where he worked from 1986 to 1990. He began his career in 1980 with Bank of New England as a treasury officer in the bank’s international treasury division. He holds a BS in Accounting from Syracuse University’s Utica College (1980) and a MBA from Suffolk University (1985).

Marco Pirondini is Head of Equities, U.S. for Pioneer Investment Management, Inc., the U.S. investment division of Pioneer Investments. Marco manages Pioneer International Value Fund and Pioneer Global Equity Fund. He also oversees the Fundamental Research Department.
Prior to his current role, Marco held the role of Global Chief Investment Officer with Pioneer Global Asset Management. He also spent five years as Head of Global Equity Research working in the U.S. investment division of Pioneer Investments. Prior to joining Pioneer Investments in 1999, Marco spent eight years with Credito Italiano, working in the asset management division of the retail bank of what is now the Unicredit Group. During his time with Credito Italiano he held the roles of Head of Italian Equities, Portfolio Manager for Italian Equities and Balanced Portfolios.
He received a Degree in Economics and a MBA with a specialization in Finance from Bocconi University, Milan, Italy.

Michael Temple is Senior Vice President of Pioneer Investment Management, Inc., the U.S. investment division of Pioneer Investments, and Director of Credit Research, U.S. He is responsible for oversight of Pioneer’s U.S. credit research department. His duties include independent research of credits, sector analysis, and coordination of research efforts in high yield, bank loan, investment grade, emerging markets and municipal credit. He has been the Portfolio Manager of an institutional “Credit Opportunity” strategy since 2008, and is also a Portfolio Manager of Pioneer Absolute Return Credit Fund.
Prior to joining Pioneer in 2002, he was a Portfolio Manager at Boston Partners Asset Management, where he helped manage $1.5B in institutional Core Plus strategies. He was also a Senior Credit Analyst at Putnam Investments, where he was responsible for the analysis of investment grade, high yield and emerging market investments. He was also a Senior Credit Analyst at Duff and Phelps in Chicago, and the Director of Planning and Investor Relations for the Public Service Company of New Mexico. Michael Temple received a BA and MBA from the University of Colorado in 1982 and 1984, respectively.

Sam Wardwell and the Investment Strategy Specialist team are responsible for explaining the investment philosophy, process, and performance of investment products and providing updates on overall financial market performance, economic trends and the firm’s economic outlook to clients and their advisors.
Sam’s career has given him direct experience with many of the most important economic developments of the past thirty years. He began his career with Bank of Boston as a commercial lender specializing in transportation companies during the Carter administration’s deregulation of the transportation sector and imposition of credit controls in an attempt to slow inflation. He moved to the bank’s investments division as a fixed income position trader during the years when the Volcker Federal Reserve raised interest rates to unprecedented levels in its successful attack on inflation.
In 1984, Sam joined Fidelity Investments on the fixed income investment side of the business, moving to the equity side and then into a role as a spokesman for Fidelity’s portfolio managers to institutional clients and consultants.
Sam joined Wellington Management Company in 1988. Over the next twelve years, he helped lead the growth of its institutional business, leading product management and institutional client relationship management teams. He also conducted original capital markets research and wrote white papers on topics such as the drivers of equity size and style cycles and the influence of the dot-com stocks on market index returns. Sam joined Pioneer Investments in 2003 from State Street Research where he was Head of Equity Product Management.
Paresh J. Upadhyaya

Paresh J. Upadhyaya is Director of Currency Strategy, U.S. He leads Pioneer Investments’ currency research effort out of Boston and serves as an advisor to the firm’s global fixed-income and equity investment staff on currency-related issues. In addition, he helps lead sovereign credit analysis and advises the investment team on sovereign bond investments. He is a member of Pioneer’s 29-person U.S. fixed income team.
Paresh has 18 years of experience in the investment industry. He joined Pioneer from Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he was Director, Senior FX Strategist – Head of North Americas G-10 FX. Prior to BofA Merrill Lynch, he was a Portfolio Manager and member of the currency team at Putnam Investments, where he participated in actively managing $20 billion in currency investments in currency overlay, fixed income, global asset allocation, and international equity portfolios. He has a B.S. in Economics and International Relations from Boston University and an M.B.A. in Finance from Boston College.

Joseph D. Kringdon is Executive Vice President responsible for managing Pioneer’s U.S. retail sales team, including distributor relationships with financial advisors, broker-dealers and a wide range of other financial services companies that partner with Pioneer. He is a member of Pioneer’s U.S. Management Committee and oversees U.S. Product Marketing. He also serves as President of Pioneer Funds Distributor Inc.
Kringdon joined Pioneer Investments in 2008, and previously worked at Putnam Investments, where he was a Managing Director and held various roles including National Broker-Dealer Channel Director and Regional Director of Sales in the East. Kringdon began working at Putnam in 1999. Prior to Putnam, he worked at Smith Barney and a predecessor company, Drexel Burnham Lambert, as Senior Vice President, Branch Manager in Albany, NY and Sales and Branch Manager in the Boston office. He was also a Branch Manager in the New York City office of Smith Barney. He also worked at Merrill Lynch, where he was a Vice President and Mutual Fund Coordinator.
Kringdon is active in the Boston community. He is a member of the board of Achieve, a non-profit educational organization designed to identify middle school youths from underprivileged backgrounds, who can benefit from an intense summer educational program on the campus of Noble and Greenough School in Dedham, MA. For 20 years he served as a board member of Bridge Over Troubled Waters, a Boston-based non-profit which serves homeless, high-risk and runaway youth. He is an active supporter of Rosie’s Place, the non-profit sanctuary for women in Boston. He is a recipient of the Boston Business Journal/El Planeta “20 on the Move” award, recognizing Hispanic executives making a difference in Boston. El Planeta is a leading regional Hispanic newspaper. Kringdon fundraises for Noble and Greenough School and Beaver Country Day School in Chestnut Hill, MA, and supports minority recruitment efforts by the College of the Holy Cross. He graduated “Cum Laude” from the College of the Holy Cross in 1980 with a BA in English.

John Carey is Executive Vice President and member of both the U.S. Operating Committee and U.S. Investment Committee at Pioneer Investment Management, Inc., the U.S. investment division of Pioneer Investments. He is also Portfolio Manager of the U.S. Large Cap Core and U.S. Dividend Equity strategies for retail and institutional clients.
John began his investment career in 1979 when he joined Pioneer. During his career with the company he has analyzed many industries, including publishing, media, and autos. His previous experience includes consulting and venture capital as well as teaching. John Carey holds a BA from Columbia University (1971) and an AM and PhD from Harvard University (1979). He is a CFA Charter holder.

Michele Garau is the Portfolio Manager of Pioneer Multi-Asset Real Return Fund since 2010, and he also manages the newly launched Luxembourg domiciled Pioneer Funds – Multi Asset Real Return Fund. Prior to the managing the Multi-Asset Real Return Fund, he managed the International Balanced Portfolios and was the Portfolio Manager of Pioneer Global Flexible Fund that was actively managed and distributed in Europe.
Michele joined Pioneer Investments from Antonveneta ABN AMRO Bank where he was the Chief Investment Officer. He joined ABN AMRO in 1996 taking responsibility for the group’s institutional business in Italy. Michele spent two years in their Amsterdam office managing their American Fund before taking a lead role in the group’s merger with Antonveneta. Michele has also worked as a Portfolio Manager with Primegest SpA, Gesfimi SpA and SIGE SpA. He began his career as a Financial Analyst with Barclays in 1982. Michele has a degree in Economics from Cagliari University, Sardinia. Michele Garau has been actively managing Global Equity and Balanced portfolios since 1987, and managing derivatives (primarily equity and bond futures and currency forwards since day one) which are used in a number of portfolios under his management.
